The Adventure of the Mysterious Benefactor
Part 3by Stacey (SST205 at aol.com)
Normally when in the air, Tennyson pulled the goggles he wore
on his head down over his eyes. Now it was hard enough to see with
his eyes full of tears, and the goggles would have just steamed up.
Tennyson probably could have found the Baker Street address if
he were blind along with everything else, but fortunately, he was not.
When he come to Baker Street, he lowered himself to his usual two-foot
altitude and entered 221.
"Holmes, it's after four. I think we ought to go search for
the boy."
"I believe you're correct, Watson." Holmes agreed. "Kids, we
had better--"
"Whee-urrr-eeep!"
"Tennyson!" Deidre cried, standing up and going to the door
before anyone could move.
Upon opening the door, she found her younger friend looking
up at her. His eyes were red and puffy from crying.
"Get in here!" she snapped, reaching into the cockpit of his
hoverchair and pushing the ‘forward’ button. "Goodness, Tennyson,
what's happened?"
