Professor Brown shook his head. "I just can’t believe I let
him just take it!"
"Calm down, Professor," said Holmes. "No matter what you
could have done, Moriarty would have still have taken it."
"Have you told New Scotland Yard about the theft yet?" asked
Watson.
"Yes, but I am afraid that they won’t find it until Moriarty
has done some real harm, which is why I came to you, Mr. Holmes."
"And I will gladly accept the case. Once the Irregulars get
here we shall start and, unless my ears deceive me, I believe I hear
them now."
Sure enough, the door opened and the Irregulars, plus Gohan,
entered the room.
"Sorry we’re late, Mr. Holmes. We ran into a little trouble
on the way here."
"Quite all right, Wiggins, but care to introduce us to your
new friend?"
"Oh, right, this is Gohan. We ran into him on the way here."
"He saved Tennyson from some punks who were picking on him,"
added Deidre.
"Well, it is a pleasure to meet you, Gohan."
"Thank you, sir," said Gohan as he shook Holmes’s hand.
"It must have been easy for you to defeat those bullies since
you’re a trained fighter."
"Huh? How did you know I was a fighter?"
"Eyes and brains, my boy, eyes and brain. First of all, the
size of your muscles on your arm are much larger then an average
human, so you must train very often. Second, you have a very small,
common fighting scar on your face; seeing as you can barely see it,
it must be very old -- I‘d say at least seven years. So I merely
deduced that you must have been training since that time. Am I
correct?"
"Yeah, you almost got everything right. You’re good."
"Thank you. Now let’s proceed with this case."
Holmes quickly told the Irregulars of how Moriarty stole
Professor Brown’s P.D.M.
"I don’t get it," said Deidre. "What’s so important about
this machine?"
"You see, Deidre, the P.D.M. has the ability to open portals
to other dimensions," explained Watson.
Gohan’s eyes widened. This must be how Dad and I got
here, he thought.
"Whoa, Moriarty having that kind of power -- now there’s a
scary thought!" said Wiggins.
"Quite right," agreed the Professor. "Which is why we must
find it before he uses it."
"Well, I got news for you guys -- he already used it!"
Everyone stared at Gohan. "What do you mean, lad?" asked
Watson.
"Well, I am not sure how to tell you this, but I am from
another dimension."
"Beep-urr-beep?" beeped Tennyson.
"Yeah, I am serious. I know it sounds crazy but you have to
believe me. We were just minding our own business when this portal
came out of nowhere and sucked both of us in."
"You said ‘we’. Is there someone else from your dimension?"
asked Holmes.
"Yeah, my dad. You see he went in first and I went in after
him, but when I woke up I couldn’t find him, so I went looking for
him and that’s when I ran into Tennyson. I don’t suppose you guys
have seen him...."
"What does he look like?" asked Deidre.
"He looks a lot like me, only he has a lot more hair and
wears an orange fighting outfit."
"Nope, I would’ve remembered seeing someone like that."
"So what do we do now?" asked Wiggins.
"The first thing we shall do is locate Gohan’s father," said
Holmes. "Then we’ll...."
"Excuse me, Holmes. I am receiving a call from Inspector
Lestrade."
"Then by all means, Watson, put her through."
Watson nodded and turned on the viewscreen and an image of
Lestrade appeared.
"Holmes, I need you here, at the Yard, now!"
"What appears to be the trouble, Lestrade?"
"I arrested this guy at a bank robbery but I can’t identify
him. His DNA scan won’t show up on
the computer. He says his name is Goku."
Gohan slapped his forehead. "Oh no!"
Holmes glanced over at Gohan. "I assume this Goku is your
father."
Gohan nodded.
Holmes turned back to Lestrade. "I shall be there shortly,
but I am also bringing some friends along."
"Fine, whatever, just get down here. This guy is driving me
crazy!" With that said the screen went blank.
"Well, then," said Holmes. "Now that we know where Goku is,
we shall retrieve him and continue with this case."
As Holmes went for his coat, he noticed a worried look on
Gohan’s face. "I wouldn’t worry about your father. I am sure that
he is fine."
"Oh, I am not worried about my dad; I am worried about the
Inspector."
