Welcome to New London. The time is 2103 to 2104, and the game
is afoot!
Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century is currently part of the
"DiC Kid's Network", a three-hour syndicated block of programming designed to help local stations
fulfil their "educational programming" obligations. Check your local listings.
Btw, Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century: The Fall
and Rise of Sherlock Holmes and Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century: Out of This World
came out on videotape and DVD in the US and Canada. Three videotapes also came out in the UK.
Check online video stores for both DVDs and tapes.
As always, if you have something to share, post it on the message board
or email me at suburbanbanshee at gmail.com. Artworks, stories, essays, or links to the same
are entirely welcome!
2/28/08:
Joy Parker (not to be confused with Joy*Starr) mailed in
parte VI of her sword-and-sandal-Sherlock
serial, "The Case of the Strange Etruscan Vase".
Holmes and Lestrade give some help, get some help, and prepare to make trouble.
10/24/06:
Back in September, TT sent us part 1 of "Simulent Wars", a new serial,
and part 2 of "The Curious Case of the Gorgon's Head". Just
a simple shopping trip; just a simple look into a robot world. Sorry it took me so long to find them in my email box!
8/1/06:
Mintaka sent us a new story, too. It's called "Restricted Access", and
it's the sequel to "Art Appreciation". Not that anything happens, but
still... mature themes.
6/11/06:
It's a miracle! I've actually updated the site with a new story!
Bowen, a first time writer, sent in "The Story of the Fourth Irregular".
Holmes is missing and facing one of his greatest challenges yet. Enjoy!
5/24/05:
Here's the new site/Same as the old site.... Yes, it took place a lot more abruptly than I wanted
but suburbanbanshee.net is now open for business! I still have to check for links that don't work
(suburbanbanshee.com ones, mostly), but for the most part it seems to be fine. Enjoy!
12/12/04:
Yes, it has been a long time between updates. Sorry about that, folks. But since
you've all been such good little boys and girls, your friendly neighborhood webmistress has
put a genuine full length SH22 music video into your stocking. You can download it
here. (It's a Divx file, so
if you can't run it, head over to www.divx.com and pick up the free
version of the software.) This video is rated H/L, for the webmistress' favorite delusion.
More updates will be forthcoming Real Soon Now.
Meanwhile...Er. Um. Problem.
I seem to have neglected to collect the following stories from the messageboard before
they slipped away. If anyone has kept copies of these, I'd appreciate you sending me
one.
Part 5 of "The Canary Maker" by Daibhid Ceannaideach, posted 8/19/04
Chapter 7 of Alicia's France story, posted 9/1/04
The next-to-last part of "Baker Street Babysitters" by Brittney, posted 9/9/04
"Untitled HP/SH22 xover" by Marisen, posted 9/21/04
8/19/04:
Continuing the fanfic update.
Back in March, Sigerson posted "Happy Pie Day".
Tennyson keeps trying to tell people it's a holiday.
Here's parts 1 through 4 of Mary's crossover serial,
"Sherlock Holmes and the Incredible Hulk".
Our Heroes battle Mary's muses in "Bargaining",
and Mary's muses write about Our Heroes in "Eavesdropping".
8/17/04:
Daibhid Ceannaideach has posted 4 out of 5 parts of his
serial, "The Canary Maker".
She was only a bird in a gilded cage....
Meitantei Kudo KID posted the beginning of a new crossover serial,
"KIDnapped". Usually, it's the Kaitou Kid
who puzzles detectives and slips away at will. But now it's the Kid's
turn to be mystified....
Victorian_beauty221 posted "Dream"
back in March. "Whenever I want you, all I have to do is dream."
Complete in one part.
8/16/04:
Here at last are parts 1 through 3 of Jen's new/old serial,
"House Guest". What in the world is
Deidre up to, and just how bad a mood can Lestrade be in?
I've also put up parts 1 through 23 of Brittney's serial,
"British Baker Street Babysitters".
Holmes adds something new to his resume.
8/15/04:
I'm a little late on the monthly fanfic update. But this is a start.
I've webbed up parts 17 through
28 of the current messageboard round robin,
"An Annoying Fan Writer in New London". A mysterious
presence hates fanwriters. And now they're showing up dead...and in New London.
What is going on?
I finally webbed part 4 of
Casey's serial "The Little Mermaid (SH22-Style)".
I also procrastinated badly with Alicia's story I've called
"Moonlight Stroll". Complete in one part.
Here too are the first three parts of Brittney's practice fanfic, a
little something I call "Pretty in Punk", and
her complete story, "Behind the Scenes".
Until now, I'd forgotten to post
parts F through R of
"Truth or Dare II". Which is a sequel to the
"Truth or Dare" round robin.
I also forgot to post Brittney's May round robin starter,
"Shrink". Feel free to join in!
6/3/04:
I've webbed up the first 16 parts of the current messageboard round robin,
"An Annoying Fan Writer in New London". A mysterious
presence hates fanwriters. And now they're showing up dead...and in New London.
What is going on?
6/1/04:
Happy Memorial Day! And Happy end-of-May Bank Holiday for you
Brits....
TT emailed me the first part of a new serial,
"The Curious Case of the Gorgon's Head". Sorry
it took so long to web it!
Joy Parker (not to be confused with Joy*Starr) mailed in
parte V of her sword-and-sandal-Sherlock
serial, "The Case of the Strange Etruscan Vase".
Holmes and Lestrade get a few more clues to their time-traveling criminal's
whereabouts.
The famous line-by-line fic has been
completely updated to the present and reformatted for clarity. So...what's
all this have to do with Holmes' father, anyway?
Alicia has been writing an untitled fic set
in France. Chapters 1 through 6 are now up. Holmes, Lestrade and Watson are
going to a teambuilding workshop, and Lestrade's already had her luggage
lost! Better not ask what more could go wrong....
New writer Brittney has finished her first story,
"In the Name of Love". Holmes is acting strangely. Why?
5/7/04:
TT sent us the conclusion of her serial
"The Eighth Guest", and we learn something of
Tessa's fate.
5/4/04:
Fanfic update! Yes, I'm way behind, but this is a start.
Mary sent us a picture of
Beth Lestrade as a child.
Unlurking with an email, TT has returned to us with
part 16 of her serial
"The Eighth Guest", sequel to
"The Singular Affair of the Second Moriarty"
and "The Fall of the Phoenix".
When last seen, our Tessa was in dire trouble. Will
Holmes and her fiance Peter Ling find her in time? And will
they survive it if they do?
3/8/04:
Fanfic update! Since I missed last month's, this one's a doozy. I've
also redecorated this page in honor of St. Patrick's Day, upon which
Moriarty seems to have strong views. One hopes that doesn't mean Fenwick is
a leprechaun. (Alicia contended in the past that that's
someone else entirely....)
In other news, we have 101 completed SH22 fanfics up as of this update! Yay!
Also, in a shameless exhibition of naked editorial power, I have made
up some titles and chapter titles for Alicia and Trynia respectively. Mwahaha!
(As always, however, I will take them down again if they don't suit
the author, or if the author Has a Better Idea. I'm really a very benevolent
sort of absolute ruler of all I survey.)
Trynia made her debut this week with her serial
"A Study in Solar". Finally, Holmes
really does need to learn astronomy for a case. Also, she posted
the complete H/L vignette, "Alone at Last".
Casey posted part 3 of
"The Little Mermaid (SH22-Style)" and
part 8 of
"A Hot Day in New London". In both, Beth and her old
friend Josh are busy making tracks and getting into trouble!
Alicia posted several untitled H/L vignettes. I call them
"Not What She Appears",
"Milk, No Sugar" and its wonderful
Wiggins-POV sequel, "My Family", as well as
"View from the Top", a Greyson POV.
Jordanna Morgan long ago posted the entirety of her story
"Resolutions". It's New Year's, and
Beth has a small favor to ask of Holmes. (And please accept my apologies,
Jordanna, for not webbing this sooner. I forgot I hadn't posted it.)
Last but not least, Mary emailed me a piece of fanart entitled
"Moriarty's Fantasy". Surprisingly,
it doesn't seem to include being the monarch of all he surveys!
1/26/04:
A wee tiny fanfic update. (Just kidding!) Also, I've updated the
fanfic page to reflect all our new fanfiction.net authors' pages. Also, download
my SH22
mp3.
Annie Magee's up to chapter 11 of
"A Hard Look into the Future", her
SH22/Les Miserables crossover. Inspector Javert is one tough old bird
even when sent into the future. Just one more chapter to go! Really!
Complete in one part, Krystal's The
Playful Fog. A young woman has a strange Halloween encounter.
Complete in one part, Mary's new story,
"Jumping to Conclusions". You've got to wait for all the facts....
Complete in one part, Jen's story,
"Might Have Been". Implied mature content.
Complete in one part, Casey's "The
Irregulars' Christmas Caroling". Holmes and Watson hear some very
sick people. ;)
The first two parts of Casey's "The
Little Mermaid (SH22-Style)". In an alternate universe, our
friends are separated by oceans instead of time. But they are still
fated to meet.
Part 7 of Casey's "A Hot Day in New London". An old friend of
Lestrade's is in trouble, and Holmes seems mighty curious about just
how friendly they are....
1/15/04:
Tiny fanfic update.
The final four parts of Myshawolf's sequel to "Masquerade",
"Figlio Perduto". When Moriarty is in trouble, who ya gonna call?
Erika and Fenwick consult Sherlock Holmes!
12/4/03:
Even more fanfic update!
It's part 2 of Mike C's new serial,
"The Werewolf"! Canids and cliffhangers galore!
I finally realized I hadn't yet webbed up
chapter 12,
chapter 13,
chapter 14, or the
epilogue to Myshawolf's exciting
Phantom of the Opera crossover,
"Masquerade". The strongest love --
the fiercest hate -- now that old stage will show their fate!
12/1/03:
As promised, more fanfic update.
Myshawolf has put up the first five parts of her sequel to "Masquerade",
"Figlio Perduto". When Moriarty is in trouble, who ya gonna call?
Erika and Fenwick consult Sherlock Holmes!
11/30/03:
More fanfic update! Don't forget that you can see all the stories available on this
site on either the finished fanfic page (also including links to SH22
stories not on this site), or the new and unfinished fanfic page.
You asked to get on the front page, and you got it! First time writer Mike C.
posted part 1 of his serial, "The Werewolf". Holmes is
called to the site of a mysterious death.
Mary posted a brief story complete in one part,
"Waiting".
Meleisah posted part 2 of her
untitled story and a story complete in
one part called "Actions and Consequences".
Holmes pokes his nose where it doesn't belong.
I forgot to put up part four of
Jen's "Missing Someone". Doh!
Ditto with part 6 of Casey's
"A Hot Day in New London". An old friend of
Lestrade's is in trouble, and Holmes seems mighty curious about just how
friendly they are.... Also, she posted a response
to my Watson Challenge, "Blasted Metal".
I've caught up with the latest four chapters of Jaka Ray's
"Ruby Roo Reats Rarerock Roams", the third part of
her "Bedbugs and Broomsticks" comedic saga.
11/29/03:
Happy Thanksgiving! It's time for another fanfic update. Sorry for my
sloth, everyone.
Back in August, Brink sent us part one of a story entitled
"Sherlock Holmes and the Super Virus".
Casey sent us "The Key to the Mystery"
and part 5 of
"A Hot Day in New London".
Myshawolf wrote "Growing Pains",
a prequel to "Masquerade".
After a year's hiatus, Jen decided to start a couple of new stories.
Both were untitled and are unfinished. I'm calling the first one
"Missing Someone", and Jen sent us three
parts. The second one, in two parts, I'm calling
"Kidnapped". (It really reads a lot like a
prequel to "Missing Someone"....)
Meleisah sent us a story, complete in one part, called
"Heights, Anyone?
10/6/03:
Fanfic update! I've finally caught up with Myshawolf's Phantom of the Opera updating,
"Masquerade". Read
part 5,
part 6,
part 7,
part 8,
part 9,
part 10 and
part 11. More will come as she puts 'em out.
I've also webbed up Jaka Ray's H/L "The Two Rings" and
all the parts of the serial "Bedbugs and Broomsticks",
"dRuNkEn VaMpIrEs", and
"Rooby Roo Reats Rarerock Roams" that exist thus far.
Casey long ago posted part 4
of "A Hot Day in New London". New London is suddenly as unseasonably
hot as...say, my house...but as unhumid as Arizona! Meanwhile, Holmes and Lestrade are behaving
rather uncharacteristically. What the heck is going on?
Annie Magee is up to chapter 10 of "The Case of the Past
Inspector" (now retitled "A Hard Look into the Future"), her SH22/Les Miserables crossover.
Inspector Javert is one tough old bird even when sent into the future. Just one more chapter to go!
9/18/03:
By request, I've finally put up more indexes to my
screencaps. Enjoy!
8/25/03:
My weekend of story updates ends with one more story I forgot to post.
Yes, as previously seen on fanfiction.net, it's Neoholmesz' story
"The Christmas Wish".
What does Holmes really want for Christmas?
8/24/03:
Myshawolf emailed me part 3 and
part 4 of "Masquerade".
Casey posted a very evil "Insurance Plan".
Poor Lestrade....
Back in April, Racheal posted a songfic set in her roleplaying
universe, which I venture to call
"To Know What Is Real". She also
posted her starter for a CSI crossover.
Annabelle Prachett posted her SH22 chapter of a round robin her
class wrote, "SH22 Meets LOTR".
Ethel posted the "Top Ten Reasons
Holmes Never Got Married".
Alicia posted the first chapter of "Les Works",
in which Lestrade struggles with boredom and bad French, and the vignette
"Guy Stuff".
Mary posted a very brief fic,
"Weird Mood" and a song,
"I Brought Sherlock Holmes Back".
Krystal posted part 1 of her story "Bored".
Joy*Starr posted her songfic "A Song for You".
8/23/03:
New author Myshawolf emailed me part 1 and
part 2 of "Masquerade".
New author Jordanna posted two drabbles. She
also posted "Stranger than Fiction".
Casey posted part 3
of "A Hot Day in New London". New London is suddenly as unseasonably
hot as...say, my house...but as unhumid as Arizona! Meanwhile, Holmes and Lestrade are behaving
rather uncharacteristically. What the heck is going on?
Alicia posted "Please Sit Down", a trio of drabbles.
Mary posted part 1 of "The Legend of Holmes: the Wind Waker".
She also posted the prologue and
part 1 of her
untitled Rurouni Kenshin crossover.
I'm finally remembering to post part 3 of
Selene (and William Shakespeare)'s "Pyramus
and Thisbe". Which Selene sent me in March. Sorry I took so long, Selene.
7/22/03:
I've been given permission to add the alternate ending to
Annie's "The Case of the Desperate Nation".
I made a new shipper collage of screen captures. Suitable for
wallpaper!
7/11/03:
More update.
Mary posted another fractured fairy tale, "Jack...er, Moriarty
and the Beanstalk". Poor persecuted Moriarty.
7/9/03:
More update.
Poptate12 posted part 4 and
part 5 of
"A Relative Close By". Pride goeth before Sherlock Holmes. ;)
7/8/03:
More update. Not much tonight...sorry.
Annie just posted part 9 of
"The Case of the Past Inspector".
Inspector Javert finds himself in New London.
Alicia posted a very different Lestrade story,
"Loup Garou".
7/7/03:
After epic procrastination, I present you with a story update. My sincere apologies to all
the authors here. If your story isn't up yet, it will be.
Katie Thompson emailed all seven parts of "Where Are You?".
Lestrade is missing, but Holmes is on the case.
Yvonne Stevens emailed part 1 of "What's the Sitch?", a
Kim Possible crossover. When Moriarty is joined by the evil Drakken, Scotland Yard calls in
an American consultant....
Because you asked for it -- Joy Parker emailed uspart 4
of her crossover time travel story, "The Case of
the Strange Etruscan Vase". Holmes and Lestrade try to save history
in ancient Rome, and meet up with a family of covert Christians.
Stacey emailed me part 9 of "A Visit to
New London", her Power Rangers crossover. Of course Billy would invent his way to New
London -- and into trouble of the Moriarty kind!
Krystal posted part 3 of
"Time to Time". A time traveler comes to Holmes' doorstep.
I dared to temporarily title Alicia's untitled Deidre fic
"Melted Wax". Deidre and the smells of night.
Cyberwolf posted part 12 and
part 13 of "The Case of the Blown-Up
Cottage", her Harry Potter crossover.
Casey posted part 1 and part 2
of "A Hot Day in New London". New London is suddenly as unseasonably
hot as...say, my house...but as unhumid as Arizona! Meanwhile, Holmes and Lestrade are behaving
rather uncharacteristically. What the heck is going on?
More update tomorrow!
Just a reminder -- you are always welcome to email me with fanfic,
essays, drawings, or other contributions, and I love to link to other
pages. Just send me a line.
